Greenfoot 2025 National Competition has announced its winners! Organized by ADFABER, with the support of Oracle Academy, it gave tech-savvy students the opportunity to test their theoretical knowledge and creativity in practice.
Through this competition, participants had the opportunity to develop essential Java programming skills, improve their logical thinking and learn how to create their own interactive game. The theme of this year's edition was creating an interactive game or lesson, and high school students had the opportunity to learn the basics of the world's most widely used programming language - Java, using creativity and teamwork.

The competition's winning teams and projects
After a careful analysis of the many innovative projects, the jury selected the best, taking into account aspects such as functionality, innovation and aesthetics.
🥇Place I
The TEKBYTE7, with the project „The Recon Bug„ ranks 1st! The project is realized by students Cîrstoiu Andrei-Sebastian Andrei and Nicolae Daria-Mihaela Nicolae, from "Zinca Golescu" National High School in Pitesti, jud. Argeș, under the coordination of Prof. Ghiordunescu Grațiela.
"The mission of the game is to cross an invisible minefield and reach your destination safe and unharmed! Find the right path using logic and memory to avoid dangerous traps!"
🥈Place II
The Fizicienii, with the project „Odiseea fizicii„ ranks 2nd! The project is realized by students Andrei Gabriela-Iuliana Andrei Gabriela and Ioana Ioana-Andreea, from Ioan Slavici Theoretical High School in Panciu, jud. Vrancea, under the coordination of Prof. Grigoraș Bogdan-Vlăduț.
"Our game is called Physics Odyssey, which is a series of lessons, exercises and visual experiments designed to enhance the educational process. It is an educational game that aims to link the formulas presented with relevant experiments. In this way we add interactivity with the user. The first part of the level is teaching, the second part contains a problem, and finally an animation relevant to the lesson is presented. The game contains 4 levels and their difficulty increases progressively."
🥉Place III
The Desturbed Games, with the project „BOOM TRON„ ranks 3rd! The project is realized by students Fechete Patricia Maria and Raul Calman Laurențiu, from "Andrei Mureșanu" National High School in Bistrița. Jud. Bistrița Năsăud, under the coordination of Prof. Adrian Peter.
"Our inspiration comes from classic shooter games, which make you focus on the action, but at the same time relax through intensity ("FLOW STATE"). Lumea a fost cucerită de roboți incontrolabili! Wave after wave, acești inamici mecanizați devin tot mai puternici, mai rapizi și mai imprevizibili.„
🏅 Special Mentions
The PDD LABS, impressed the jury with her project „Archer.yo„. The team includes Plocon David Andrei and Predescu Teodor Ioan, under the coordination of Prof. Elena Dragan, from the Tudor Vianu National College of Informatics in Bucharest.
The GreenShake, impressed the jury with her project „Shadow Sprint„. The team includes Arsene Andrei and Berindei David Arsene, under the coordination of Prof. Czabor Noemi Czabor, from W.Shakespeare Theoretical High School in Timisoara, jud. Timiș.
The Mecatronix#1, impressed the jury with her project „Breaking The Code„. The team includes Durău Ștefan Ștefan and Sîrbu David, under the coordination of prof. Vilă Eugenia, from "Ștefan Odobleja" College in Craiova, jud. Dolj.
