The Adfaber Association<\/a> announces today the winners of the fourth edition of the National EDB StartUP Competition, organized in collaboration with the Tudor Vianu National College of Informatics in Bucharest and sponsored by Oracle Academy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This year, under the challenging theme of \u201cIntersection Traffic Management System\u201d<\/em>, participants were encouraged to come up with innovative solutions to optimize and ensure the safety of urban traffic.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Facing the challenge of designing database systems to efficiently monitor and manage traffic flow, the participants explored the potential of technology to transform cities into safer and more user-friendly spaces for their residents. This represents an important step in using technology to address real-world societal issues.<\/p>\n

Who participated in EDB StartUP in 2024?<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The competition was open to all high school students in Romania who registered in teams of maximum 3 students and a coordinating teacher. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

With the help of free courses provided by the sponsor Oracle Academy<\/a>, students learned database modeling, and through this competition, they tested and validated what they studied, being recognized for their effort.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Teachers were by the students' side and gave them the guidance they needed to successfully complete their projects. The teams' creations were then judged by IT specialists who analyzed and rewarded the students' work. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

After a careful evaluation of the projects, in which the jury took into account the compliance with the theme, innovation, complexity and creativity, we are proud to present the 3 winning teams of this year's edition.<\/p>\n

Team QUBE<\/strong>, with the project \"Ignite\"<\/em>, ranked 3rd! The project was created by students Nedelcu Diana, Niculica Toma, and Cismaru Mario from the \"Mihai Viteazul\" National College in Bucharest, under the guidance of teacher Udrea Diana Nicoleta.<\/p>\n

2nd place at the EDB StartUP 2024 competition<\/h3>\n

The CPV DATA<\/strong> team, with the project \"Traffic Management in Bucharest\", <\/em> ranked 2nd! The project was created by students Cre\u021bu Cristina, Burdun Patrick, and Olariu Vlad from the \"Mihai Viteazul\" National College in Bucharest, under the guidance of teacher Udrea Diana Nicoleta.<\/p>\n

The PinQ <\/strong>team, with the project \"Designing a Life in Pink\",<\/em> ranked 1st! The project was created by students Dumitrescu Livia Maria and Boaru Olga from the \"Tudor Vianu\" National College of Informatics in Bucharest, under the guidance of teacher \u021aoca Livia.<\/p>\n
